General Questions
Is Illuminarium suitable for young children?
Although we incorporate lifelike visuals and powerful auditory effects, our intention is not to intentionally frighten visitors. However, certain elements of the experience may be overwhelming for younger children. If your child is easily overwhelmed or frightened, the Illuminarium team advises ensuring an adequate number of adults in your group to handle any situation where one adult may need to accompany the child out of the attraction for assistance.
Can I drop my kids off unattended?
Children under the age of 14 can not be left unattended without an adult.
Can I bring my pet to Illuminarium?
Illuminarium welcomes service animals that meet the specific definition of a service animal as outlined by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) are allowed in our facility.
During your visit, it is important for guests who utilize service animals to maintain full control of their animals at all times, following the legal requirements of leashing, harnessing, or appropriate handling methods. Any display of aggressive behavior towards other guests or our team members is considered unacceptable.
Service animals can not be entrusted to or cared for by our team members at any time. At Illuminarium, emotional support animals or other animals are not permitted.
- Service Animals under the AODA, (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) are designated service animals under one of the following two conditions:
- The animal is easily identifiable as relating to your disability (for example, it is a guide dog or other animal wearing a vest or harness)
- You can provide documentation from a regulated health professional confirming the animal is required due to a disability.
How long do guests spend at Illuminarium?
We suggest allowing 45-60 minutes for your Illuminarium experience. Be sure to allow time to visit the Illuminarium retail store. Don’t forget to take a selfie in our photobooth area.
Is there a gift shop at Illuminarium?
Yes, the Illuminarium Shop offers a wide variety of specialty items to commemorate your visit.
Do you allow food & drinks into the venue?
Outside food and drinks are not allowed into the experience.
What types of experiences can I expect at the immersive exhibit?

Are there any physical or health restrictions for participating in the immersive exhibit?
WARNING: Our experiences contain several sequences of flashing lights which may affect guests who are susceptible to seizures and photosensitive epilepsy or other photo and light sensitivities
Photography
Can I take pictures at Illuminarium?
Yes, we encourage guests to take photos and videos with hand-held devices during your visit. No professional photography is allowed. And don’t forget to tag us @illuminariumTOR
Are there designated areas or poses for the photo op, or can I choose my own?
Guests are encouraged to strike a pose and create unforgettable memories throughout our immersive experience. Additionally, our photo booth awaits at the end of the journey, offering the perfect opportunity for everyone to capture those cherished moments after exiting the show
Will there be staff available to assist with taking photos during the photo op?
Absolutely! Although we don't have dedicated photography staff, our staff members are always delighted to assist you in capturing stunning photos and helping you create lasting memories
General Ticketing
How can I purchase tickets?
You can purchase tickets by visiting our website at : https://www.illuminarium.com/toronto
Are tickets refundable or exchangeable?
Illuminarium does not offer refunds for your tickets. All tickets are final sale. tickets must be used on the date/time shown on your ticket. You can exchange your tickets via the ticketing website. Ticket rebooking fee may apply
What are timed tickets?
Your admission time is reserved for the date and time shown on your ticket. Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled time and proceed to the Illuminarium entrance. Allow extra time for parking.
What if we are late for our entry?
You may enter Illuminarium up to 15 minutes after the time printed on your ticket. If you arrive later, you may be denied entry and may need to pay a rebooking fee. Be sure to allow extra time for parking.
How will we receive our tickets?
Illuminarium is paperless! You will receive your tickets via text or email based on your choice at checkout.

Hooray! You've got your tickets! Next step: Arrive 10-15 minutes early for parking and easy access to the venue. Don't forget to head to the kiosk and join the line to kickstart your immersive experience! We can't wait to see you there!
Will there be staff available to assist with taking photos during the photo op?
Absolutely! Although we don't have dedicated photography staff, our staff members are always delighted to assist you in capturing stunning photos and helping you create lasting memories
Do children under 2 need a ticket?
Children age 2 and under admitted free of charge.
Is there a coat check available onsite?
Absolutely! Rest assured, we do provide a convenient coat check service right in the first room of the exhibit.
Is Illuminarium stroller friendly? Is there a place to park strollers onsite?
While smaller strollers are allowed, we highly recommend enjoying the immersive experience without a stroller whenever possible. We kindly request that guests with large strollers either leave their strollers in their vehicles or check them at our coat check area. Due to fire safety regulations and to maintain a comfortable environment for all guests, we can only accommodate a limited number of strollers within the exhibit at any given time. If you have any questions or need assistance with stroller arrangements, our dedicated customer service team will be available to help.
Is there a limit to the number of tickets available per day?
Please note that availability may vary for each individual show. We kindly invite you to visit our website for the most up-to-date information on ticket availability.
Can I purchase tickets on-site, or do I need to buy them in advance?
It is best to purchase your tickets ahead of time via our website. Ticket times may be limited onsite.
Group Sales
What is considered a group?
Groups of up to 10 guests can purchase their tickets on our ticketing website. https://www.illuminarium.com/toronto

Do you have any discounts for large groups?
Yes! We offer a 15% discount on tickets for groups over 10+ people.
Can group tickets be purchased onsite?
Group tickets of up to 10 can indeed be purchased onsite. We highly recommend booking tickets in advance through our website to ensure a seamless and hassle-free experience.

Private Events & Parties
Can we get a refund if group members are unable to attend?
Illuminarium has a no refund policy. All tickets are final sale.
Does Illuminarium have space for parties or events?

House rules
Individuals not adhering to the following policies and guidelines may be removed from the premises.
- Intoxication, theft, and / or abusive behavior and harassment, towards guests/staff could warrant removal from the premises and/or prosecution.
- As part of the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, Illuminarium is a No smoking venue (including vaporizers and electronic cigarettes)
